Mid-term exam (25%): Feb. 20/07: closed book; in class; two hours; you may bring one sheet of paper, 8 1/2 x 11, written or printed on one side
Final exam (35%): Exam period: closed book; three hours; you may bring one sheet of paper, 8 1/2 x 11, written or printed on one side
Further requirements:
Participation (10%)
Each student is expected to show up for class having done the readings and prepared to participate in the weekly discussions. In recognition that some people have difficulty speaking in groups, attendance itself will count for a lot.
Attendance is crucial in a class with relatively few meetings.
